The link between tumour metabolism and tumourigenesis

Host: Christian Frezza, MRC Cancer Unit, University of Cambridge

Room: Room 3B

In this session we will discuss the emerging view that altered metabolism is not only an epiphenomenon of cellular transformation but that it has an active role in tumorigenesis. Indeed, emerging evidence suggests that byproducts of altered metabolism can lead to genetic and epigenetic alterations that have the power to drive cancer transformation.
