This session will offer practical advice on how to involve consumers (patients and carers) in processes around tissue donation and data sharing, using real-life examples and signposting to relevant resources. A pre-event survey will help us identify the issues that currently exist, and the panel will discuss how the patient voice can input into various stages of ‘the process’ to remove these ‘roadblocks’. For example, biobanking protocols (every data access request form should be informed by consumer input), public vs researcher perceptions and accessing communities to improve health literacy. Following the session participants will have the option to reach out to NCRI Consumer Forum for assistance with their specific projects, including via the NCRI Consumer Forum Dragons’ Den
