This session, organised as part of National Inclusion Week, aims to explore the experience and needs of the LGBTQ+ community in cancer research from the perspective of patients, their carers and the wider cancer research community. Speakers will share their experiences, challenges and opportunities, and focus on proposed solutions and potential areas of improvement to make cancer research more diverse, inclusive and fit for purpose for all.

By the end of the session participants will have a better understanding of the main challenges and opportunities in this area of research and care, the need for change and practical take-away messages to effect positive change.
