Tables and diagrams cannot be included.
You can submit your work in these broad themes:
- Cancer cell and model systems
- Diagnosis and therapy
- Epidemiology and prevention
- Information, patients and the public
- Health service research
- Survivorship and end of life care
All abstracts will be considered for presentation in these formats:
- Poster session
- Parallel session
Please note that case reports will not be accepted for presentation at this Conference.
Abstracts that will have been presented at other Conferences will, if accepted, be eligible for presentation at the NCRI Cancer Conference.
Amendments and withdrawals
You can log in to the submission system to make any amends you like to your abstract while abstract submission is open, including changes to data or results.
Once abstract submission has closed you may only request to amend minor errors such as typos or misspellings. You cannot change abstract data, results, or conclusions at that point.
Requests to amend or withdraw abstracts once abstract submission has closed must be submitted by email by 11 September 2015.
Presenting authors must register
The presenting author must be able to attend the NCRI Cancer Conference on Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 November 2015. If the presenting author of a selected abstract cannot attend, they should assign a replacement by 25 September 2015.
Submitting an abstract does not constitute registration to attend the Conference.
Accepted abstracts for which a presenting author has not registered and paid the appropriate registration fee by 25 September 2015 will be withdrawn, will not appear in any Conference materials, and will not be able to be presented at the Conference.
If presenting authors fail to attend the Conference to present their work, they will not be accepted to present at the Conference in 2016.
Publishing of abstracts
Accepted abstracts will be published on the Conference website and on the Conference app.
Abstracts can be cited using this format:
Author(s) of abstract. Title of abstract [abstract number]. In: Name of conference; conference dates; place of conference. Publisher; date of publication. Abstract number. Available from: [URL].
Posters should be in a portrait orientation and no larger than 2 metres high by 1 metre wide.
Landscape posters will not fit on the poster boards and will not be allowed to be displayed in the poster area.
It is recommended that you prepare a handout for participants with a summary of your poster or link to an online version of your poster or research, and your contact details or a QR code. Handouts must be no larger than A5 to fit in the document holder that will be provided on poster boards. Handouts that are placed on the floor will be removed for health and safety reasons.
